  Purchased a leather jacket (retail $450) for around $240 (after 50% off coupon with banana republic credit card). I wore it for only few days and the leather started to rip from where the left pocket gets sewed to the body of the jacket. No other damages. The right pocket also started to show some sign of potential damage coming up. I spoke to customer relations and store manage... they told me to bring it to store. Store manager issued me a "courtesy" refund of $135 and said the jacket is normal wear and tear. They wouldn't even issue me what I paid for it. I expected better. I am definitely never shopping at Banana Republic at the price they charge. I will probably spend the refund on their other stores (Old Navy, Gap) where the price is much lower. If I spend more money... definitely not going to be in a Banana Republic store.
