  BEWARE of salesman Karl!!! My experience was horrible. I knew what I wanted before I went there and he attempted to try and sell me on everything else but what I asked for. Then when he assisted on what I asked for, he increased the price on the merchandise and lied to his boss about it!9

  I will start with saying, had we thought to read the reviews previous to shopping here, we would have saved ourselves a lot of stress and time. The sales people at this particular location are pushy to the point where you begin to feel uncomfortable . It is hard to pick out furniture when someone is following you around the entire store rushing your decision. While going through the process of buying the furniture, they heavily push their cleaning products and warranties on you. After several times of both of us telling the salesman that we did not want the warranty or the cleaning products, he still put them on the order without our consent. When it came time for the furniture to be delivered, their delivery service proved to be just as terrible. The delivery men did not take their boots off upon coming in, nor did they ask if they should. Mind you this is all taking place mid winter so the ground outside was wet and we had just gotten new carpet. The two delivery men were unable to deliver our couch, as it was too large to fit up the stairs. That one was our fault for not measuring the couch before picking it up. Everything else we bought fit just fine. They did such a bad job assembling our bed, we were both appalled. It was a very expensive bed and they didn't even screw it together so everything was even and straight, you could tell they did a hurried job. The actual support beams they put on were a joke, the screws that were supposed to hold the beams to the bed were barely long enough to go through the support beams, so they just rested on the bed. Had we known they would have done such a bad job, we would have simply assembled it ourselves. At this point were annoyed with our overall experience, we just wanted to get our money back so we could find another living room set elsewhere. The first time we went in there, we were told that they didn't have that much money on hand, they offered us an option to get a check sent to us in 7-10 days. Which is very unconventional when you've just moved into a new place and are in need of a couch. So, they told us we could come back on the weekend when they had more money on hand. We came back, but they only have a few hundred dollars to give us, then suggested they send the check, or come back again. After doing this a few more times, and having no luck, my husband finally had to call and ask when it was that we could get all of our money back. The girl on the phone was very rude to him and told him that they did not give that large of refunds in store, which is not what we were told the previous times we had come in. She told us a check had been issued. Although we never said we wanted a check, we made it very clear we wanted the actual cash back. Finally my husband got in contact with the office manager, who was truly the most pleasant and professional person we had dealt with throughout this whole experience. After about a week and a half, we got our money back. And after all that, we will never be shopping at art van again. I heavily suggest everyone else considering shopping here avoids this place.
